New York’s Standard Hotel has identified and fired the employee who recorded and released surveillance footage showing Solange Knowles giving a beatdown to brother-in-law Jay Z in a hotel elevator.
According to AP, a hotel representative said yesterday that the person had been terminated for “breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV (closed-captioned television) video.“
TMZ, which released the video on Monday, reportedly paid $250,000 for the footage, while Us Weekly says the person who made the tape used a cell phone to record images from a monitor in a back room at the hotel.
